“Genesis”, Google's intelligent machine that wants to help journalists

Speed up and optimize the work of editors. This is the goal of "Genesis", the new AI of the Mountain View company. But the company's difficult relationship with the media generates some suspicion
Google has developed generative AI services designed for journalists, and is already in discussions with some publishers to start field trials. This was revealed by the New York Times, which is also among the newspapers to have had access to a demo of the service, whose code name is "Genesis", together with the Washington Post and the Wall Street Journal. Despite the weight of the news, Google immediately stepped forward assuring that "quite simply, these tools are not designed to, and are not able to, replace the essential role that journalists have in finding news, creating and checking the factuality of their articles".
