Luxury homes: penthouses in the centre, villas overlooking the sea

The weight of the luxury car market is (almost) irrelevant. Yet, many of us inquire about the characteristics, performance and prices (unattainable) of the supercars and weakling cars of the Motor Valley. The same goes for the luxury homes: residences of 300 square meters and more, with terrace and penthouse in city centres, or villas overlooking the sea which require seven-figure bank transfers for purchases when they are not eight. Both in the case of cars and in the case of homes, we are interested in them because, as they say, dreams are free.

It is not possible to have precise data on the size of the luxury property market, but there are two starting points. The first concerns the cadastral statistics, which present the number of dwellings divided by province and by category. The residences classified as A1 (stately homes), A8 (villas) and A9 (historic buildings) are 69,398, less than 0.2% of the total.
It is true that there are homes considered top even if not classified as luxury by the Tax Authorities, but it is equally true that some of the homes in the three categories mentioned above would never find a market unless at relatively low prices.
