Of Claudio Bozza

At the administration new flop of the Third pole. The Calendian deputy NaikeGroupioni and Giulia Pigoni, former leader of Action in Emilia-Romagna, pass to Italy alive

Between Italia viva and Action there is no longer just a deep political rift. This time a politically fratricidal war has been triggered. The Third Pole, also in these administrative elections, it collected results well below expectations: the peak of 7% was reached only in Brescia and Siena; very low percentages arrived in the other capital cities where the reformist-moderate alliance was in progress (3.5% in Vicenza, 1.3% in Pisa, 3.7% in Ancona).

And a few hours after the polls close, Matteo Renzi announces that he has wrested two non-secondary pawns from his now ex-ally Calenda: the deputy of Action Naike Piattioni and Giulia Pigoni, former secretary of Action and regional councilor in Emilia-Romagna switch to Italia viva. Two low blows that Calenda didn’t take well at all.

We have learned of this “theft” says Calenda. All the best to Naike. Every legitimate and respectable choice. Let me just note that, out of respect for the community that elected you six months ago almost without knowing you, a prior communication would have been more elegant. But I guess the surprise exit was part of the deal. This story, otherwise irrelevant, well explains the distance in behavior with Matteo Renzi. While we were busy traveling around Italy supporting the lists, often made together, for the administration he was busy with these matters. Good road.

Grupponi, from Bologna and at the head of an important family of metalworking entrepreneurs, she had been elected with Action at the last Policies. In recent weeks, for her, her disagreement with Calenda’s line had increased and she finally decided to take the Renzian card.

the same dynamic that pushed towards Italia viva Giulia Pigoni, who grew up at the Leopolda but later became Matteo Richetti’s right-hand man in Emilia-Romagna, Action group leader in the Chamber. Pigoni, in recent days, had complained of excessive dirigisme in his party, with decisions taken by a very limited circle.

In the meantime, the rumors according to which Renzi is ready to form autonomous groups in the Chamber and in the Senate are becoming more insistent in Parliament, a hypothesis which, given the numerical superiority, would force Azione to end up in the Mixed group. I don’t know what Renzi wants to do – comments Richetti -, I don’t know if he intends to separate the unity of groups. I don’t hope they split.
