It was the time, that, in which Facebook was considered as the scum of the universe. It was the time, that, in which troubles were the order of the day for Zuckerberg. And that was the time when Facebook ended up in the eye of the storm for at least three embarrassing reasons. In 2018, Cambridge Analytica was found to have harvested the personal data of 87 million Facebook accounts without their consent and used it for political propaganda purposes. In the same period, at the turn of the election of Donald Trump, Facebook was accused of being an arena of haters, a fertile ground for the diffusion of fake news and a company ready to transform even lies into a formidable traffic opportunity to create induced. And in recent years it has often happened that Facebook, forced in the meantime to redo the trick by transforming itself into Meta, has been accused by various antitrust authorities of having an unfair advantage in the advertising market thanks to the detailed profiling of its advertisers’ ads.
