The mayor of Castelfranco Veneto resigns and attacks his colleagues in the League. “They turned my dream into a nightmare”

The resignation, accompanied by an outburst on social media. They are those of the mayor of Castelfranco Veneto, Stefano Marcon, who used words of gall on Facebook. “Someone have killed a dream, they turned it into a nightmare for me,” he writes.

The message points straight to his colleagues on the board and to the League, councilors who “work a couple of hours a week, without scruple, compared to the allowance they get”. He also speaks of “advisers who create the mixed group and condition the administrative activity while remaining Northern League members”. These are the reasons that would have led the mayor to resign.

“It is a widespread sport to mock the members of the junta to get them to resign”. he adds, with clear reference to other farewells of the kind. Castelfranco Veneto does not deserve to be bound by certain figures who keep the administration in check for purely personal matters. And neither is the province of Treviso». Province now run by commissioner Alberto Stefani, opposed by Marcon, who has also chosen to resign from the institution.

Accusations, but also thanks, to the “loyal collaborators” and a certainty, a very deep crack within the League in Veneto.
