Schlein after the administrative elections: “Satisfied and confident about the ballots. The right is slowing down”

“We are very satisfied with the result, the Democratic Party is in excellent health. We look optimistically to the second round. ” After the first round of administrative, the secretary of the Democratic Party Elly Schleintogether with the Local Authorities manager David Baruffi, comments the result in the polls to the Nazarene. “We are the first party in the capitals”, claimed the secretary, before thanking all the dem candidates and in particular those of Teramo and Brescia, where a woman, Laura Castelletti, was elected for the first time.

“We get up with enthusiasm, we move forward, convinced that there are conditions to win in two weeks. The right is holding back”, says Schlein, according to which the voters have taken note of the government’s limits on the Pnrr, on the subject of work, on school and on public health. “The Democratic Party must continue to stay in the territories”, continues the leader dem who announced his commitment in the next few days in the electoral campaign. “We’ll get back on track immediately”.

On the relationship with the 5 stars and possible grillino support, the head of local authorities admitted that “it is not obvious, but I consider the attention of the voters of the Movement to be natural” for the dem proposal.

Schlein then added that at the moment there are no shared events already scheduled with other parties, but this is the intention: “We have not yet made the agenda for the next few weeks but naturally the hope is to share the initiatives with the forces that they are our allies, and also extend to those who were not. We hope to be able to make our candidacies in the ballot even more expansive and attractive. We confirm our willingness to cross paths with other political forces as well”, said the secretary, reiterating that there are no foreclosures of any kind: “It is on the issues that we find agreement with the alternative political forces to the right. The Democratic Party works in the most unitary way possible ”.
