Filming of the miniseries directed by Luca Lucini and Ago Panini and produced by Pepito Produzioni in collaboration with Rai Fiction has started in Genoa. In the role of Goffredo Mameli, Riccardo De Rinaldis, flanked by Amedeo Gullà, in the role of Nino Bixio. The protagonist of an extraordinary coming-of-age story is Goffredo Mameli, poet and hero of the Risorgimento, the inspired author of that song that ignited the souls of an entire generation of fabulous kids and, a hundred years later, became the national anthem of the Italian Republic .
The burning and intense story of Mameli, like a rock star, is that of someone who knew how to make the masses fall in love with his ardor, starting with those of his city, Genoa. In him, the others saw the courage of someone who knows how to love to the end, of someone who fights on the front, at the cost of his life, certain of eternity.
The series is the story of two years of war, politics, poetry, subterfuge, betrayal and love, in the ardor of the First War of Independence and the defense of the Roman Republic, but above all it is the
story of a boy with an ancient heart and an eye to the future.
Shot between Genoa, Turin and Rome for a total of 10 weeks of shooting, the series will soon be broadcast on Rai1.
