Cameras and attached sets would in fact be completely inadvisable in a hospital environment, given that the former premier is still at risk of contracting infections in this period which must be a peaceful recovery. But the most probable thing is that in the end – whether you stay at the San Raffaele or return to Arcore – intervene by telephone to read a speech on which he is already working with Andrea Orsini, his very close deputy-collaborator who has been helping him to put his ideas on paper for some time.

And it is almost a certainty that a signal from Berlusconi will arrive. Antonio Tajani, who is the coordinator of FI and who organized the convention also to mark the return of the Knight on the scene, is keen to point it out: I spoke to him, there will be a message from him. Then opening up to the enterprise, with a place of honor for the managing director of ENI Claudio Descalzi who will discuss with Tajani. There will be a focus on the fight against the mafia with Rita Dalla Chiesa and Caterina Chinnici, who has just arrived in FI from the Democratic Party, and a zoom on sport with the players Incocciati, Dossena and Cabrini.

But it is clear that the wait will be all for Berlusconi’s closure. On the topics that will touch and the duration nobody says too much (You know how it’s done, up to the last minute you can change your mind…), but his parents hope that it will be a short speech: it doesn’t matter so much what he says, but the fact that he speaks again, that he shows the world that he is there and works with us. Also to launch the membership campaign and, at the same time, raise cash by collecting the shares of the elected officials who have not yet paid their debts.
