the first Campania laboratory of the Pd-5Stelle alliance failed. Thirteen municipal councilors of Pomigliano d’Arco have resigned, bringing down the administration led by the mayor Gianluca Del Mastro for about two and a half years.

In addition to almost all of the minority representatives, four members of the majority also resigned, including a councilor of the four in the Pd share. The other three had already made it known, in the last few hours, that they no longer wanted to support the mayor. Yesterday morning the farewell of the deputy mayor Eduardo Riccio, who is also secretary of the Democratic Party, also arrived on Del Mastro’s table. The situation of immobility and distance from the needs of the city in which the municipal administration finds itself imposes radical choices, which put the needs of Pomigliano before the interests and positioning of individuals: it is not the time for compromise, for waiting, for the building. – writes Riccio – Many, too many commitments have been disregarded, bringing the political confrontation and the institutional dialectic to unacceptable levels for the city of Pomigliano d’Arco.
