The reason is the recent words of Silvio Berlusconi against Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. This was announced by the president of the EPP himself Manfred Weber in a post on Twitter: “Following Silvio Berlusconi’s statements on Ukraine, we have decided to cancel our study days in Naples. Support for Ukraine is not optional. Antonio Tajani and Forza Italia, in the EPP group have our full support. We continue the collaboration with the Italian government on EU issues,” said Weber.
