Pd, “Schlein effect”: membership boom, almost 4 thousand members in one day

There are already those who call it the “Schlein effect”. In just 24 hours, from the reopening of the membership announced the other night at What’s the weather like, the new enrollments in the Democratic Party have almost reached 4 thousand. Nearly four thousand people logged on to the party’s website and signed up for membership online. “Hope has been reborn”, rejoices the mayor of Bologna Matthew Lepore: “For a few days it has happened to me that different people stop me on the street – the ambulance driver at the traffic light, the lady with her daughter out for a walk, the young supermarket cashier – to tell me that they would join the Democratic Party”.
