Pd adviser against Schlein: "On the outskirts only to make catwalks"

Mariano Angelucci, councilor in the Capitoline Assembly and former candidate for the regional secretariat of the Democratic Party in Lazio, attacks the secretary who this morning went on a visit to the Torre Maura district, a Roman suburb: “She did not invite the local militants who are here every day”

It’s the attack you don’t expect. Sudden, very hard and frontal. “No confrontation with the citizens, no dialogue, but just the umpteenth visit of those who use the suburbs for a few photos and then never go back”, says Mariano Angelucci, councilor of the capital and already a (defeated) candidate for the regional secretariat of the Pd. He is angry with the head of the party, the secretary of the Democratic Party Elly Schlein who visited this morning some entrepreneurs and traders a Maura Towersuburb of the capital where, and this makes criticism even harder, Angelucci was born and raised. He words that weigh even more because the councilor is part of the dem current close to mayor Gualtieri and why the secretary had chosen precisely the occasion to announce her meeting this afternoon with former New York Mayor Bill De Blasio.

Double attack also on the newly elected Roman secretary of the Pd Enzo Foschi (former spokesman for the Schlein motion in Rome). “We are amazed at how, given his sensitivity, he lent himself to this. We continue to be disconnected from reality. Citizens are avoided for fear of confrontation”. The internal problem revolves around not having included the territorial representatives of the party in the visit. “Committees are not involved e even the newly elected club secretary is not invited. We understand that the secretariat is ashamed of being a member of the party it leads, but this way of doing is not respectful of the volunteers and those who are present every day with heart and soul. In this way, the lost consent is not recovered, if we were to compare it we could explain it to him. We are speechless. Perhaps there would be a need for a new ‘occupy Pd’ because soon there will be nothing left”.
