Musk goes to Meloni looking for support against the European rules on hate speech

Brussels. During yesterday’s meeting with Giorgia Meloni and Antonio Tajani in Rome, Elon Musk has sought an ally to defend Twitter in his clash with the European Union. Officially there was talk of cybersecurity, space, electric cars, artificial intelligence and even birth rates. But two other issues mentioned by Tajani and Palazzo Chigi are particularly close to Musk’s heart: European market rules and freedom of information. According to the rumors collected by the Foglio, Musk wants to enlist governments and parties of the sovereign right under the banner of “free speech” against the new rules of the Digital Services Act (DSA)which put limits on large platforms.
