Polling stations open in Molise where you can vote today and tomorrow, Monday 26 June, for the regional elections. Voters at the polls for the renewal of the Council and to decide who will take the place of Donato Toma as president of the Region. Voting ends today at 11pm and tomorrow between 7am and 3pm.

These are the first elections without Berlusconi: Renzi goes with the center-right and the Democratic Party runs with the M5S in the region of 290,000 inhabitants where people are calling for a new ruling class and “an idea to change”

There are 393 sections in the 136 municipalities, one less than five years ago. The whole electoral machine, unlike the other electoral consultations, is managed directly by the Region which has published all the voting data on a special dedicated portal (elezioni.regione.molise.it).

On the same site, the data on the turnout for the polls and those on the ballots will be published in real time. The press room, as happened in 2018, was set up in the headquarters of the Molise Culture Foundation in Campobasso. Voting takes place tomorrow, Sunday, from 7 to 23, and Monday from 7 to 15. The ballots will be counted immediately afterwards.

Those entitled to vote are 327,805, but among these there are 85,000 residing abroad. Three candidates for governor: Roberto Gravina (5 Star Movement) supported by the centre-left coalition (6 lists), Francesco Roberti (Forza Italia) supported by the centre-right (7 lists) and finally Emilio Izzo supported by the ‘I don’t vote usual notices’.

There are 20 councilors to be elected in addition to the president. The outgoing governor is Donato Toma (Forza Italia) who in the last five years has led the center-right majority and who is not a re-candidate.
