The intense diplomatic activity between the conflict in Ukraine and relations with the EU, on the one hand, and the management of Forza Italia after the death of Silvio Berlusconi, on the other, make the deputy premier and foreign minister Antonio Tajani, the member of the Government most present on Italian radio and TV in the last 3 months, with 4,504 citations.

The data emerges from the monitoring on the main national and local television and radio channels, carried out by Mediamonitor.it, a platform that uses technology and solutions developed by Cedat 85, a company active for over 35 years in the supply of speech content. Mediamonitor.it analyzed what was the visibility of the members of the Executive from midnight on Tuesday 11 April to Friday 30 June.

The silver medal goes to the Minister for European Affairs Raffaele Fitto (3,735 mentions), holder of the delegation to the PNRR who has been animating the internal political debate and with the European Commission for months. With 3,155 citations, third place goes to Economy Minister Giancarlo Giorgetti, who is also at the center of the events concerning the PNRR, but also of the discussion around the ratification of the Mes and the recent Ita-Lufthansa agreement.

Just below the podium we find the Minister of the Interior Matteo Piantedosi (2,800), always among the protagonists of the debate for the management of the migration crisis and the negotiations around the new European Pact on migration and asylum. The ministerial “top five” closes with Matteo Salvini, Minister of Infrastructure, with 2,591 mentions in the last 80 days.

Despite the heated debate on his proposal for justice reform, the Minister of Justice Carlo Nordio is only sixth (2,149 mentions) in the ranking of media visibility. Seventh position for the Minister of Education Giuseppe Valditara whose anti-bullying measures, such as the reform of voting behavior, have aroused the interest of Italian radio and TV with 1,577 citations collected since 11 April. Followed by the defense attorney Guido Crosetto (1,421) and the minister for civil protection Nello Musumeci (1380). The Minister of Agriculture Francesco Lollobrigida reaches the tenth place (1,375), making headlines for his defense of made in Italy agri-food products and for the declarations on “ethnic replacement” that have led to political confrontation.

In the last positions, according to monitoring by Mediamonitor.it, we find, with 242 mentions, the Minister for Public Administration Paolo Zangrillo and the Minister for Institutional Reforms and former President of the Senate Maria Elisabetta Alberti Casellati (170). Closes in last place, with just 49 citations in the last 3 months, the minister for disabilities Alessandra Locatelli.
