Tonight at 20:30 the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella I will speak, as usual, to the Italian men and women for the teatraditional end of year message.

The speech will be broadcast live on TV as every year on unified networks and in streaming on the YouTube channel of the presidency of the republic and on the social networks of the Quirinale.

That of 2022 is his eighth year-end message addressed to Italians. The one pronounced last year, at the end of 2021, should have been his last, given the expiry of his mandate at the beginning of 2022. Mattarella had said: I have always experienced this traditional year-end appointment with a lot of involvement and also with a little of emotion. Today these sentiments are increased by the fact that, in a few days, as the Constitution provides, my role as President will end.
