Another hypothesis of crime adds to those already disputed in the files opened by the Milan prosecutor’s office on the Visibilia corporate galaxy, a group founded by the Minister of Tourism Daniela Santanchè. An accusation, that of alleged aggravated fraud against the state, which risks adding to the charges of false accounting and bankruptcy already brought against the senator of the Brothers of Italy.

The simplest accusation on paper, as it was recorded in the minutes by a former manager of the group, but perhaps more inconvenient from a political point of view, given that the entity that is assumed to have been defrauded is precisely the State.

The new investigation

The new investigation had already been discussed and in the past few hours the Milanese prosecutors, after a confrontation with the prosecutor Marcello Viola, formally entered the title of crime, currently against unknown persons. The investigation was born following the statements, made as a witness just over a month ago, by Federica Bottiglione, former manager of Visibilia Editore with the role of investor relator officer, i.e. delegated to draft and manage communications to the market of the listed company. The woman had said that she continued to work when, from March 2020 until November 2021, she was instead officially in layoffs at zero hours in the Covid period, thus providing a detail that led the deputy prosecutor Laura Pedio and the prosecutor Maria Gravina to open an independent investigation, connected to the main one for false accounting and bankruptcy, which sees Santanchè among the six suspects. The deposition had been made precisely in this larger file.

Focus on twenty workers

At the moment, from what has been known, the investigation resulting from the version of the former manager, who would have received INPS contributions even if he continued to work for the company, is model 44, only with the hypothesis of a crime. And now the focus of the investigators and investigators of the Economic and Financial Police Unit of the Gdf is on the other workers, about twenty in all, and to understand if the same scheme has also been applied to them.
