What does the amendment say?

After a meeting between the majority and the government, the speakers of the Milleproroghe decree under discussion in the Constitutional Affairs and Budget Committee in the Senate have developed an amendment that grant five months more, until July, for the mapping of state concessions for the exercise of the delegation provided for by the competition law. In the same period it will be it is forbidden to tender awaiting the implementing decrees on the reorganization of the regulations on the matter which will in any case be issued by February. The tendering of beach concessions is then extended for one year.

The seaside issue has been going on for years with numerous interventions and calls from the European Commission which has been asking Italy for some time to put the beaches to tender, as happens in other EU countries, in compliance with the Bolkestein directive.
