There is no worse time than this to put an insurance company like Eurovita into extraordinary administration, which has over 413,000 life policies to its credit for a value of 15 billion and over 350,000 customers: private citizens who have seen freeze redemptions. But that is what the Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy (Mimit) led by is about to do Adolfo Urso and it is the first time that a similar situation has occurred in our country. IVASS, the authority that supervises insurance, has in fact submitted to Mimit the request for extraordinary administration for Eurovita having ascertained the impossibility of implementing a “system” rescue within the deadline of 31 March.
