Putting employee health at the center of corporate welfare policies. This was the choice made by Tenaris — a global manufacturer of steel pipes for the energy industry and for industrial applications, about 25,000 employees in 30 countries, a company belonging to the Techint group (Rocca family) listed on the Milan, New York and City of Mexico and with an annual turnover of 11.8 billion dollars.

Health Care Project

in the midst of the Covid 19 pandemic period, i.e. in the second half of 2021, that Tenaris launched the Health Care Project, with the aim of promoting physical well-being and prevention for all employees in all countries in which the company operates, making eye tests, blood tests, Pap Tests and numerous other clinical tests available free of charge to employees. Almost two years after the launch of the project, the results, analyzed in collaboration with the Humanitas group – a company of the group that developed the protocols – and with Professor Elio Riboli, an internationally renowned epidemiologist, highlight the appreciation of the employees.

Over 3,000 clinical controls

In 2022, 81% of personnel underwent an annual check-up (+20% compared to 2021). In countries such as Colombia, Saudi Arabia, China and Nigeria, participation in the new protocol was close to 100%. In Italy in the Tenaris Dalmine plants more than 800 people have joined this campaign and about 70% have undergone screening. Over 3,000 clinical checks performed. Tenaris was thus able to improve the focus on health issues such as cardiopulmonary disease and obesity. We want to contribute to the well-being of employees, in the context of a new way of working, summarized Antonio Caprera, Chief Industrial Officer of Tenaris.
