“A goal from the city”, rejoices the mayor Gualtieri. The plant will be built in Pietralata, now the ball passes to the company which will have to draw up the final project. Barriers on public transport and parking

The Capitoline Assembly has approved the resolution of public interest on the Stadio della Roma in Pietralata. The House approved it with 33 votes in favor and 3 abstentions (Fratelli d’Italia and Lega). On the other hand, the councilors of the Five Star Movement and the Raggi civic list did not participate in the vote. “A goal from the city! Now we await the definitive project of As Roma to move forward and seize a great opportunity together”, exulted the mayor Roberto Gualtieri on Twitter attaching a photo together with the councilor for urban planning Maurizio Veloccia and the Capitoline group of the Pd, where even the discontent was not lacking. As reported by the mayor now it will be up to the Giallorossi club to draw up the definitive project on the basis of which we will then proceed – subject to a further verification step in the Giulio Cesare classroom – to the decision-making conference of services, the last act prior to the laying of the first stone.

However, with an amendment, the majority of the Democratic Party has set some stakes to the project: the stadium will have to be reached by at least 50 percent of fans with public transport, parking will have to be increased and the expropriations of some areas still not available to the public will have to be paid for by the club.
