Not only November 4th. In the dreams of the center-right majority and of Parliament, everything is there more than 40 holidays to “circle” on the calendar.

On July 12, the Senate gave the green light to the bill on the return of the Day of National Unity and the Armed Forces, precisely on November 4th. The Day, which was no longer a holiday since 1977, will in reality remain so: yes to the strengthening of public events and celebrations, but no exemption from work; the costs for the State would have been too high and this may have convinced the majority to take a small step back from the original text first signed by Gasparri (FI).

Now there is no yes to the Chamber, but in the meantime it should get to the discussion in Parliament another “important” date, March 17th. Among the cardinal proposals of the Brothers of Italy (so much so that the president of the Senate Ignazio La Russa mentioned it in his inaugural speech), there are celebrations of the unification of Italythat day in 1861 when the Kingdom of Italy was proclaimed.

But the list is long. The latest proposal to arrive at Montecitorio, in chronological order, is that of Forza Italia’s honorable Roberto Pella on the establishment of the National Day for City Health and Welfarewhich informally already exists and is the 2nd of July.

But the proposal that all the allies and above all FdI really like, so much so that it was also filed by Carolina Varchi (author, among other things, of the text that wants to make surrogacy a universal crime), is the Nascent Life Day on March 25th. And on the subject is already being examined in the Senate Commission that of perinatal death awarenesswhile Senator De Priamo would like June 15 to be dedicated to “sons of Italy”.

And then there day dedicated to “inventors”wanted by the president of the culture commission Federico Mollicone, that for ancient crafts, for historical clothing or handwriting.

But among those announced by Prime Minister Meloni herself is the Day for the fight against the mafia, which should be celebrated on January 16th of each year, the day of Messina Denaro’s arrest. The allies of the League, however, among others, would like to celebrate the National Wonder Day (dedicated to children who live in extreme situations, such as war) e the fallen of the Grande Torino.
