Superbonus, the total cost

How much is the superbonus costing taxpayers? The change in the deduction rate, from 110 to 90%, for works with Cilas after 31 December 2022, makes it impossible to make a precise calculation. We can only say, examining the differences in the amounts communicated by Enea at the end of March and at the end of April, that for now deductions equal to just over 65.5 billion, for completed works or for which at least one Sal (work progress status) has been carried out. The total cost of these interventions for the Treasury, if they were all concluded, can vary (depending on the applicable deduction) from a minimum of 81.8 to a maximum of 82.2 billion euros. At the end of April, however, there was a sharp slowdown in requests, because accrued deductions grew by 1.7 billion in one month, compared to the 4.9 billion recorded in March over February. And there is no doubt that the numbers will drop further as the months go by, because in addition to the decrease in the rate, the block on the transfer of credits decided in February is starting to have an effect on the market.
