Skip the meeting between Salvini and Le Pen: “The situation in France is to blame”. Tajani’s message: no alliance

It was the most awaited meeting of the day but Marine Le Pen canceled the appointment with Matteo Salvini. From the entourage of the leader of the Rassemblement National it is explained that the cause of the postponement is the internal French situation, i.e. the strong social tensions that are experienced in Paris, in its suburbs and in other French cities following the murder of the seventeen year old Nahel M. at the hands of the police. The meeting will be rescheduled soon, sources close to the French ultra-right leader say. And the two will have a video conference in the afternoon.
This morning, Deputy Prime Minister Antonio Tajani had sent a clear message to Salvini: an alliance with Le Pen is impossible.
