The centre-left candidate Paolo Martinelli39 years old, former president of ACLI, stopped at 41.4%, a result which, if there were to be a ballot, could also give hope for a rewarded with a final victory, perhaps with the support of the radical left of Francesco Auletta and other civic lists.

Even in Siena after the Monte dei Paschi storm and the unthinkable victory just a few months before the center-right in 2018 with Luigi De Mossi, standard bearer of the Lega, FdI and FI, political uncertainty has returned. The outgoing mayor has decided not only not to run as a candidate but to support the candidate of the Third Pole (22.6%), thus impoverishing the already somewhat shaky structure.

The situation in Massa in the centre-right is tangled. The first round is awarded to the outgoing mayor.
