Schlein on Instagram: “No to the use of Pnrr funds for weapons. We ask the government for a commitment”

“The use of Pnrr and cohesion funds to produce munitions and armaments is unacceptable. On this tomorrow in the Senate we will ask the government for a black and white commitment“. The secretary of the Democratic Party Elly Schlein said this during a short live broadcast on Instagram. “The government is slowing down implementation, putting municipalities and businesses in difficulty. We need clear words. It is unacceptable that one thinks of taking money away from kindergartens to put it on ammunition for weapons. We want a clear answer”, insisted Schlein. Schlein also asked the government to dissolve reservations on the appointment of the new commissioner for reconstruction in Emilia-Romagna as soon as possible. “We are still waiting. The government needs to act quickly,” he said.
