Sanremo, Brothers of Italy responds to Article 31 and Fedez: “Our government will never legalize cannabis”

“Our government will never legalize cannabis or any type of drug.” He claims it Alfredo Antoniozzideputy group leader of the Brothers of Italy in the Chamber, replying to the appeal made by the Article 31 And Fedez last night in Sanremo to the Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. “We believe that cannabis is a drug to all intents and purposes and that it can cause serious problems for those who consume it. Too many kids – continues Antoniozzi – use it habitually, persuaded by a cultural and artistic world that unjustly portrays it as a harmless substance. Many members of our majority, such as Maurice Gasparriare also involved with associations that fight against all addictions”.

“The matter of taking a business away from the mafias doesn’t hold up either – insists the FdI parliamentarian – both because they are active above all in the cocaine and synthetic drug market, and because criminal organizations would be ready to lower prices at any time. The cost of drugs has sadly decreased over time and the mafias have made strategic choices especially on cocaine.Our task is to defend young people from these substances which are harmful – concludes Antoniozzi – while obviously another aspect is their therapeutic use which is already present , as is the case with opiates, in medicine”.
