Road accidents are on the increase in Russia: it is an effect of the sanctions

A report on automotive problems reveals the deterioration of cars and trucks on the road and the redistribution of traffic flows from the west to the southeast, where the quality of roads and highways is markedly worse than in western Russia

The governor of the Central Bank of Russia Elvira Nabiullina he said that in the first weeks of the invasion of Ukraine, Western sanctions would force Russian companies “to adapt to restrictions on imports and logistics” even “by switching to the production of products of previous generations”. A structural transformation of the economy that for the Russians means the regression of the quality of consumption, or buying products of lower quality paying them as much or more than before.
