Despite the split between IV and Action, the delegation of the European group is about to arrive in Rome to propitiate the birth of a third pole in Brussels. “We reason on objectives that we find in agreement”, Emma Bonino’s secretary tells us

Seen from Rome, the words of Nicholas Dante, vice president of Renew Europe and MEP of IV, seem to have fallen from a distant planet, given the divorce crisis in the third pole that was: “On May 24, in Rome, we will welcome Renew Europe, our parent company, the horizon to which look for the next challenges ahead. We will do it with an important public event at the Teatro Eliseo. We need to work on a big list, in the European elections, which brings together all those who want more than the sovereignty of the right and the maximalism of the left. We have a great responsibility, we must not fail”. Seen from Brussels, the explosion, even in parliamentary terms, of what, until a month ago, seemed to be a complicated agreement but not exactly destined for premature wear and tear, must now appear, with the joint Italian groups poised on the edge of the abyss, a bizarre little understandable, perhaps a bluff.
