What would you think if we told you that most of the complaints about Italian universities are the result of bogus controversies? What would you think if we told you that the brain drain in Italy is an issue that concerns more the brains that Italy attracts than the brains that Italy drains? And what would you think if we told you that the effect of the pandemic was not that it showcased the worst of Italy but that it showcased its ability to offer opportunities? After reading a few days ago encouraging news on Italian universities, after reading that Sapienza, according to the World University Rankings by Subject 2023, the ranking of the best universities by academic discipline drawn up by QS Quacquarelli Symonds analysts, holds the world record in on antiquity and its surroundings, and after reading that youth emigration decreased by 21 percent in the last year surveyed (2021 out of 2020) and the number of expatriate graduates in the age group between 25 has also decreased by the same amount and 34 years old (Sole 24 Ore of 20 March), we went to browse the Italian database that monitors every month all the numbers that have to do with the university in our country.
