Poste brings administrative justice and INPS to small centers. Models to follow

There are already 260 but by July there will be 7,000 post offices in small towns where it will be possible to take advantage of INPS and administrative justice services. Thanks to the Polis project – promoted by the government and financed with 800 million under the Pnrr – Poste Italiane aims to transform the offices in the territories into the “home” of digital services, where you can find a one-stop shop capable of making it simple and fast citizens’ access to public administration services. The objective of the Polis project, in fact, is to promote the country’s economic, social and territorial cohesion and to overcome the digital gap in small towns and inland areas.

Objective consistent with Poste Italiane’s strategy aimed at sustainable, digital and inclusive development. Where there is a one-stop shop, pensioners can request the pension slip, the single certification and the “Obis M” model, which summarizes all the information relating to the pension allowance. In addition to social security certificates and judicial certificates, in the coming months it will also be possible to obtain personal and civil status certificates, an electronic identity card, a passport, a tax code for newborns and numerous other services in addition to postal services, financial, logistic, insurance and telecommunications.

These new services will be provided in the post office through dedicated counters and rooms and, subsequently, also digitally thanks to 4,000 totems operating seven days a week, 24 hours a day, which will allow citizens to make requests in self-service mode . In short, the post office is transformed into a hub for physical and digital services. The renovation works of the Polis project have been started in around 500 offices with over 300 construction sites already completed throughout Italy. The project also contributes to greater energy efficiency and green mobility through the installation of 5,000 charging stations for electric vehicles and 1,000 photovoltaic systems. Poste Italiane is also implementing the “Spazi per l’Italia” project, the largest co-working network in the country with the creation of 250 smart, interconnected sites, obtained from the enhancement of company-owned properties.
