Pierfrancesco Majorino defeated in the regional elections in Lombardy

The mission – in his words – of “overturning the regional system”, wresting the leadership of Lombardy from the center-right, has failed. After all, the enterprise attempted by Pierfrancesco Majorino, a candidate supported by the center-left and the 5 Star Movement, was difficult and the forecasts were already against it. An ‘old-fashioned’ electoral campaign, one in which the soles of the shoes are worn out, also supported by crowdfunding, was not needed.

And the support from the four candidates for the secretariat of the Democratic Party was not enough – Stefano Bonaccini, Elly Schlein, Gianni Cuperlo and Paola De Micheli – and by the M5S leader, Joseph Contearrived in Lombardy to support him during the electoral campaign.
