«Because the civil rights you decline are stronger than those of the American democrats or of Veltronian memory, because it is more credible. At the polling stations I saw unthinkable people even for the Ztl party. She is a young woman, but with a clear history ».

Someone says too much left.
“They accuse you of being of the extreme left. But she in 89 she was 4 years old. She represents a modern, ecological, feminist left. I haven’t heard anyone talk about inequality like you. How do you comment on the vote in Campania? Schlein wins in the cities, even if he loses in the provinces.
«In general it seems to me that the vote for Elly is a resounding rejection of the entire ruling class of Campania, of the gentlemen of the membership cards and of the vote. All the regional councilors, most of the mayors and municipal councilors in the province of Naples supported Bonaccini. But Elly’s national victory means that the revolution has begun here too.’

What do you think of De Luca’s third term?
«We are against it, we have to send these gentlemen to the attic, start a real constituent assembly: I appeal to talents, to those who are committed. We need to open up this party even more. We have to take advantage of it. I’m in. And I’m not alone. The party of administrators is over. But we welcome the extraordinary adventure of the Naples laboratory in Manfredi. The road to the Regionals must also be that ».

With the 5 Stars?
“And not only. We have to rebuild a broad left. Compare ourselves with the 5 Stars, stripping ourselves of self-sufficiency. In Campania the page and mentality change. I am at the service of the community, not the community at my service. Also because these thousands of cards can only ever be seen at the congress, then there’s the desert. Enough”.

But one cannot fail to talk to the institutions that govern one another.
«It is one thing to have a relationship between the party and the local authority, another is to depend on the institution. In Salerno they told me: we need to defeat the client party in Campania, this is our number one commitment».

In Campania, two Bonaccinians will be regional and provincial secretaries, the only candidates. There is a problem?
«They should be the ones to pose the problem, given that there was such a significant figure in Naples, as in Caserta and Avellino. But I am sure that if this does not happen, it will be the secretary, with her management team, who will make the best decision ».
