The new system
The inconsistencies were brought to light by the new online membership system which makes operations traceable. System, among other things, son of the previous cases in Campania. StOn the card, up to three cards can be subscribed at a time with a single credit card. But some local notables even paid 80. The new membership method was introduced in May 2022 and was wanted by the coordinator of the secretariat, Marco Meloni, now a dem senator. He reforms that he intended to oppose precisely those gentlemen of the tiles who, however, evidently lose their hair but not the vice.
The candidates
Against the lords of the cards I asked for absolute transparency, Gianni relaunches Cuperlo: I am sure that Stefano Bonaccini, Elly Schlein and Paola De Micheli think the same way. We discuss and vote. But we defend the honesty of a party that must get back on track and build an alternative to the right. The Schlein motion endorses: In the Democratic Party we want, there is no place for the lords of cards and vote packages, explains Sandro Ruotolo, coordinator of the motion in Campania: We are certain that the president of the regional commission Franco Roberti will intervene firmly so that the rules are respected. In these conditions the club congresses cannot be celebrated. The candidate Elly Schlein says she is worried: We are trying to reactivate participation from below, even by many who had not renewed their membership. We are not interested in tile lord games. Stephen Bonaccini asks for speed in resolving the case: Transparency and rigor must be guaranteed on membership. Any anomaly must be resolved immediately. Sobriety and transparency are the first requirements of the Democratic Party that we want. And the Vice-President of the European Parliament Pina Picierno, Bonaccini’s right-hand man, says: The entire Democratic Party must be mobilized so that the vote among the members takes place under the banner of transparency, rigor and certain rules. In particular we are vigilant on the issue of membership, which requires particular attention to any detail to avoid any kind of opacity. Our constituent represents a collective effort and a model of democratic participation that no other political force in Italy can boast.
