“For the hiring of administrative staff in the courts, faced with the shortage that slows down justice, I see no other solutions than the regionalization of hiring or the differentiation of salaries according to the cost of living in the individual territories”.
This was proposed by the Minister of Justice, Carlo Nordio, at a conference on the reforms of the judicial system. “We are open to any proposal from the trade union organizations but in the last competition for administrative personnel at the Venice court the 50 positions were not filled because no one wanted to come to Venice, an uncomfortable and very expensive city”.
