After the rear-end collision on Wednesday on the A1 in which the leader of the Movimento 5 Stelle Giuseppe Conte had been involved, car troubles on Thursday also for Nicola Fratoianni, leader of the Italian Left and deputy of the Green Left Alliance, also traveling to Campobasso from Foggia, again to support the center-left candidate for the Molise Region Roberto Gravina, whom he later met in the afternoon with both Conte and the secretary of the Democratic Party Elly Schlein. At the gates of the Molise city, the car in which Fratoianni was traveling caught fire. The firefighters immediately intervened: the leader of the Italian Left and his traveling companions were unharmed who managed to get out in time and then continued their journey aboard another car.
