Netanyahu: we want to accelerate gas exports to Italy

“We would like to accelerate gas exports to Europe through Italy”. This was stated by Israeli Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu alongside Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. “Now there is Eni’s participation in our project, but we believe we can take it to an even higher level”. Israel has solved the problems related to the drought and we would be happy to lend a hand to Italy in solving the problems related to water”.

Comparison with Italian companies from water to health

Netanyahu told the heads of Italian companies gathered at the Economic Forum for Businesses that he will suggest to President Meloni to organize a meeting between the two G2G governments and a large gathering of businessmen from both countries, which have great potential for cooperation . This was announced by Netanyahu’s press office, informing that, during the event with the Minister for Enterprise and Made in Italy, Adolfo Urso, the Israeli Prime Minister answered questions from the heads of the major Italian companies.

Among the topics discussed were: the water solutions that exist in Israel to address the problem of drought; digital health and the Israeli experience on this issue; cyber and critical infrastructure security and how Israel and Italy can cooperate on the issue. The companies that took part in the Forum have a total turnover of around 300 billion euros and see, among others, Eni, Enel, Edison, Snam and Italgas, Leonardo, Fincantieri, Elettronica, Ferrovie dello Stato, Iveco, Thales Alenia, Granarolo, Cdp, Ita, Pizzarotti, Iren and Acea.

Meloni: new intergovernmental meeting in Israel soon

«We want to increase the level of our cooperation in the most innovative sectors, topics such as artificial intelligence but also technology applied to agriculture, I am thinking of the water crisis. We shared the need for a new intergovernmental meeting, one has not been held since 2013, the next one should take place in Israel and we would like to organize it as soon as possible» said the premier alongside Benyamin Netanyahu.
