23.3% of employment relationships with the status of “worker” have a gross hourly wage below 9 euros. This is more than 2.3 million workers. The percentage rises to 53.4% for apprentices, where 405,000 are under 9 euros, and drops to 4.9% for office workers and managers (295,000).

In first place, in absolute terms, we find 772,000 workers in the arts, sports and entertainment sectors who earn less than 9 euros. Then 733,000 in the rental sector and travel agencies, 548,000 employees in hotels and restaurants, 443,000 in manufacturing, 359,000 in commerce, 218,000 in construction, 207,000 in transport and warehousing.
