Yesterday, in a telephone conversation, Meloni tried to find support on the subject from the German Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz.

With Scholz, the Prime Minister also addressed the immigration issue (before the call, Meloni took stock with Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi), “The priority on the part of the European Council to give a further signal of support to the Ukraine at 360 degrees; a rapid implementation of the decisions of the European Council in February for a finally European management of migratory flows; European solutions for the competitiveness of the continent’s economies, through the full use of the appropriate EU instruments”, explained a press release from Palazzo Chigi.
