Mattarella in silence waiting for Meloni to say soothing words about the prosecutors

The opportunity is near. Already at the end of this week, once back in Italy, Giorgia Meloni could go up to Colle to inform the head of state about the decisions of the NATO summit in Vilnius. A practical meeting – between the Prime Minister and the head of the Supreme Defense Council after such an important appointment – which risks turning more than on Ukraine, on the war waged by the government against the judiciary (read the veline of Palazzo Chigi it would be the other way around). That’s why the face-to-face is still pending, ready to be replaced, perhaps, by a discreet phone call to be leaked, or maybe not.
