Now the probable entry into Forza Italia, a party that only a year and a half ago seemed very far from the horizons of the former deputy minister: “The alliance with the Democratic Party represents a sign of maturity on the part of the movement which has confirmed in Sicily that it is a granary because it enjoys great credibility,” he declared in autumn 2021.

But the move to Forza Italia has unleashed political tussle in Sicily.
