A little less than a month after the electoral victory in Lombardy, which reconfirmed trust in the center-right and in its governor of the last five years, Attilio Fontana, the new junta was officially announced. Not too many surprises compared to the names leaked in recent days: the new balance scheme confirmed, 7 places for the Brothers of Italy, 5 for the League, 2 for Forza Italia and 2 directly for the governor. And it is precisely in this last piece of the team that one of the most discussed issues is resolved, namely the figure of Guido Bertolaso, who remains the head of the Welfare Department. No “unpacking” of health care between hospital or social health, as has been rumored in recent weeks.

The other place, uncertain until the end, was that of the vice presidency which went to Marco Alparone, a former force worker now in the Fdi, who will also be councilor for the budget and finance. The other name that circulated as a possible vice president, or Romano La Russa, Ignazio’s brother, instead becomes councilor for safety and civil protection. In the end, the Department of Culture also remains, which goes to Francesca Caruso. Despite the pressure from the hunters who had asked Barbara Mazzali as councilor for agriculture, she will be appointed as councilor for tourism, territorial marketing and fashion, and Alessandro Beduschi will instead sit in the chair of agriculture, food sovereignty and forests.

Forzista Simona Tironi will be councilor for education, training and work, and there is the reconfirmation for the Northern League Claudia Maria Terzi, now in infrastructure and public works, who however leaves some of her old responsibilities to Franco Lucente, former Fdi group leader in regional council, which now becomes councilor for transport and sustainable mobility. Elena Lucchini will be Councilor for Family and Social Solidarity, Disability and Equal Opportunities and Giorgio Maione, Councilor for Environment and Climate, while Paolo Franco, Councilor for Housing and Social Housing.
Reconfirmation also for the exponent of the Carroccio Massimo Sertori who, in continuity with the old junta, remains councilor for local and mountain authorities and will also deal with energy resources and the use of water resources. The former president of the regional council, Alessandro Fermi, a former force player who moved to the League, will be councilor for the university, research and innovation. The Lega supporter Guido Guidesi has also been confirmed for economic development as expected, while the former group leader in the regional council of Forza Italia, Gianluca Comazzi, becomes councilor for green areas and systems. Moving on to the undersecretaries, Lara Magoni will go to sport and young people, to international and European relations, the former councilor for the environment of the last Fontana council, Raffaele Cattaneo, then to autonomy and relations with the regional council, Mauro Piazza, and to the controls heritage and digitisation, Ruggero Invernizzi. President Fontana, in his opening speech at Palazzo Lombardia, speaks of a “rapid creation” of the new executive, with “only three meetings” and reiterates how the centre-right coalition has emerged from this confrontation strengthened. “We have tried to create the best conditions for a quality council that wants to be as representative of the territories as possible – adds the Lombard governor – We will now begin this new stimulating adventure”.

However, the coalition “will continue to meet and discuss” and xas I have always said and reiterated, we will favor the best ideas regardless of who proposes them”.
