Letizia Moratti is back on track and thinking of a party for the European elections – Corriere.it

The political project of Letizia Moratti is going ahead, who after presenting herself in the regional elections with the civic list in her name (and the support of the Third Pole) launched the idea of ​​a party that could run in next year’s European elections. Not a personal party – the former vice president of Lombardy underlined yesterday in San Patrignano, speaking to the States General organized by the Lombardia Migliore-Letizia Moratti list – but a reality in which to bring together the experiences gained at the local level.

Moratti’s proposal is a party on which to converge the experiences gained in local sphere with the first objective of bringing its components to participate in the European elections, which is not a personal party with a top-down construction and a leader who takes possession of an area but who can be imagined as an inverted pyramid, which has the vertex is the basis of the different local experiences and at the base a vertex which must unify the various instances. My proposal – he explained – is to build together, without vetoes, without personalism, without pre-established leadership, with the humility of starting to work on this project and also with the humility of saying: we will make way for the young.

We don’t need to be the leaders. Leaders can be young people, us we can be the ones who pave the way – he added – and this could really be our most important contribution. At the same time as the national project, the work of the Lombardy Better List – Letizia Moratti continues in the Lombardy regional council, through the four elected councilors: yesterday the Lombard regional coordinator of Lombardia Migliore was also identified, who will be Tiziano Mariani.
