The founder received by the US consul general, Robert Needham
The founder of the League, Umberto Bossi, took part in the celebrations organized by the consulate in Milan for Independence Day, the US Independence Day. The anniversary is celebrated on July 4th but it is usually brought forward by diplomatic offices around the world.
Bossi, 81, was received by Consul General Robert Needham. Normally in past years the founder of the Carroccio always went to the celebrations, at Villa Taverna in Rome, at the ambassador’s residence.
