La Stampa goes to war with Fazzolari but ends up shooting himself in the foot

After having unveiled the extremely fascist plan to transform our peaceful schools into incubators of the Azov brigade, Giannini’s defenses to his daily newspaper are increasingly climbing straws. Concretely, only the cry of alarm remains against the militaristic attitude of the “right”

On the third day of blank pistol shots, the inevitable happens. And that is that the glorious newspaper that unveiled the highly fascist plan to transform our peaceful schools into incubators of the Azov brigade shot himself in the foot. On the first day, the headline on the front page was “Fazzolari: we teach shooting in schools”. On the second day, dodging the letter from the Undersecretary to the Prime Minister, Giovanbattista Fazzolari, denying the “fairy-tale reconstruction” of the Press, the director Massimo Giannini became Rodomonte: “With reckless disregard of danger, Undersecretary Fazzolari literally ‘shoots’ the ball into the stands, to deny what cannot be disassembled”. Or “his idea of bringing shooting courses with weapons to schools”. Giannini says that “the article by our Ilario Lombardo, which we confirm word for word, it is unassailable and one hundred percent reliable source”. What has to do with it, “on the other hand, is Fazzolari’s well-known and ancient passion for weapons. So strong that he also wants to teach it to students in the classroom, amidst the pedagogical ‘humiliations’ desired by the Minister of Education and the saving lessons on ‘Dante on the right’”. The two juxtapositions, in the story, have nothing to do with it, and are of a laughable insignificance. Leaving aside this, however, it remains to be said that the “one hundred per cent sure source” of the “unassailable” article is currently the hearing of the journalist himself, which is opposed by the denials of Fazzolari and General Federici: not exactly a smoking gun. On the same page, Lombardo reiterated his version. But, as you should know in the newspapers, a story given twice is equivalent to a denial.
