La Russa case, Meloni’s silence. But in the past you defended women victims of violence

It’s always the same story, more or less: you guaranteed and calmed down with your friends, hangers-on and exaggerated with everyone else. It also applies to Giorgia Meloni and the sensitive issue of sexual violence. When in the past the news – with investigations often still to be done – concerned alleged foreign molesters and the Brothers of Italy was in opposition, it was a riot of “worms” (text: “pack of North African worms”, August 2017) , “beasts”, “animals” and other epithets; nor was there too much trouble invoking chemical castration or alternatively a sentence of 40 years in prison.
