The clash between the government and the judiciary arises. After the harsh note from Palazzo Chigi following the latest developments on the cases involving the Undersecretary of Justice Andrea Delmastro and the Minister of Tourism Daniela Santanché, the reply from the president of the ANM Giuseppe Santalucia arrived, who spoke of “a very heavy accusation that strikes the judiciary to the heart”.

For the president it was «an attack even more insidious because it was left to anonymous sources from Chigi. A form of delegitimization and instead from the minister I would have expected an immediate investigation or an intervention to eliminate a climate of suspicion».

During the steering committee of the ANM, the president highlighted how «the judiciary has no desire to fuel the confrontation, but when the level of confrontation rises, our silence would be the embarrassed silence of those who cannot react firmly to a muscular policy aimed at a guarantee institution. It would be a retreat and we do not retreat when it comes to defend the values ​​of the Constitution».
