Short working week and up to 120 days of smart working per year. This is the new flexible work organization that Intesa Sanpaolo will propose to its 74,000 employees in Italy. The new model, which is not shared by the trade unions, reads a note from the bank, meets the needs of reconciling the professional and working life balance of its people and demonstrates attention to their well-being, through innovative solutions to working methods with the objective to make the bank even more agile and dynamic, at the service of a more demanding clientele.

The proposal

Among the main innovations there is the short week of 4 days of 9 working hours on a voluntary basis and on equal pay (compatibly with the Bank’s production needs). News which is accompanied by the evolution of smart working with the possibility of flexible working up to 120 days a year, with no monthly limits. All with a meal voucher of 3 euros per day which takes into account the expenses incurred while working from home.

Experimentation from 2023

From January 2023, the people who work in Intesa Sanpaolo will be able to access these methods and a trial period will be launched in around 200 branches. Placing the development of the Bank’s professionalism at the center in a context of attention to needs and expectations, a key element for the implementation of the 2022-2025 Business Plan, concludes the note.
