In the package of measures to support flooded populations, the government provides a bonus of 5 thousand euros to replace damaged vehicles with “non-polluting cars”

A bonus of 5,000 euros for the purchase of non-polluted cars, not inferior to the Euro6 category, aimed at all those who scrap their previous car “destroyed or seriously damaged following the flood events” of recent days. This is foreseen in a draft of the so-called “Emilia-Romagna decree”, the package of measures to help the populations affected by the flood that the government will dismiss today in the Council of Ministers.

In fact, article XX of the decree envisages setting up a fund at the Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy, in order to “support the populations affected by the flood events that occurred in May 2023 in the Emilia-Romagna region”. The bonus, as mentioned, will be 5 thousand euros, and concerns vehicles in the M1 or N1 category, in a class no lower than Euro6. The text specifies that the contribution can be combined with other incentives and indemnities “also of an insurance nature, provided that this combination does not lead to exceeding the cost incurred”.
