In Caprino Veronese the town band plays “Fccetto nera” at the Carnival party

Some elements of the City Band of Caprino Veronese – apparently trumpet and drum – during the Carnival party, on Shrove Tuesday, started playing “Black Face” in front of the Town Hall. The video was later posted on social media.

The video of the concert was filmed by a patron who was pleased that the children were still there to listen: «Nice with children, like this – says the voice-over of the video – that’s how you do it. The children listen.”

The mayor Paola Arduini, the first citizen at the head of the civic list Together in the Municipality, distances herself: «As we all learned of what happened through the video recorded and published on social networks – she explains -. We dissociate ourselves as a municipal administration because we find that it is a “sound note” from individuals that cannot go to affect the professionalism, history and prestige of our City of Caprino band body “.

The president of the band Andrea Testi explains: «I wasn’t present at the moment, because it happened when the carnival was already over, as well as the parade and the performance of our band. I still saw the video. I can’t rule out that it was some member of our gang. If so, I would be very sorry for what happened. However, as a gang, we totally dissociate ourselves.”
